Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) is an online FPS based game currently in development by Valve Software and Hidden Path Entertainment, who also co-developed Counter-Strike: Source. It is the fourth game in the Counter-Strike franchise, excluding Counter-Strike: Neo and Counter-Strike: Online.
Global Offensive is targeted for release in early 2012, and will be available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network and Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade. It will contain classic content, such as old maps, and brand new maps, characters and game modes. Also, it will support matchmaking and leaderboards. Cross-platform multiplayer is confirmed between PC, Mac and PS3 players. The PS3 version will offer three control methods using the DualShock 3 controller, PlayStation Move or USB keyboard/mouse.

Tip :  For Example , If any player in a team  is unable to give money ( his Rs 50 Entry Fee ) , Then the Clan Leader can give the money on behalf of that person . The benifit of the Clan Leader will be , When he will win the Tournament , He won't divide the Prize money with the person he paid for . If a Clan Leader is very much sure about victory of his team , he can give the whole entry fee( Rs 250) by himself and get the prize money without dividing with his clannies.

Maps & Weapons

  5. Maps are availble for download at the event should a player not have the map or the correct version of a map.
  6. You are not aloud to purchase or use Shields OR buy Auto Snipers ( aka Gay Gun ) in any match

Broadcasting and Online Services

1. Each server will have a dedicated admin for each match .
2. HLTV will be run on each of the servers and demo of each match will be recorded. (assuming there are no technical problems) The Demos will be available after the event.

Disputes

  1. The only player on a team to talk to an admin regarding tournament related incidents is the CL. Admins will not talk to any other player other than a clan's CL. Should an admin consider players other than the CL harrasing / arguing, penalties on the clans results may be imposed.
  2. If a team has a problem with a player from another team or suspects another team of cheating.  The CL of that clan should in the first instance raise the issue with the admin preciding over the match in question.  If a CL is not happy with a decision made by the admin, the issue will be esculated to the head tournament admin.

Configuration

Any config blocking or methods to try and stop checks taking place on a Client machine will be deemed as gaining an unfair advantage and will be disqualified from the tournament.

    2. Gamma and Brightness settings can be changed both within the game, and within the graphics card driver control panel, they cannot be changed by modifying any of the config settings.

    3. If you have any questions regarding a setting / command that you want to use, this must be brought to an admins attention at least ONE HOUR prior to the start of the tournament at the event. After this the admins decision is final and players will be expected to respect the decision. 

    4. 32 Bit Graphics must be used. Anyone caught using smoke grenades in 16-bit mode will be penalized.

Technical Problems

  1. It is the responsibility of the players to ensure their computer is working correctly. The Tournament servers will be made available prior to the actual start of the tournament and everyone will be allowed to ensure their configs / files are all accepted.
  2. Match start times will not be delayed owing to a fault with a players PC, or the software installed on it.
  3. Technical issues outside of the players control (ie. server or network problems), will result in a delayed start.
  4. Any player experiencing a technical problem should indicate this to the server admin immediately.
  5. Players experiencing disconnection issues should advise the Admin immediately. The admin will pause the game at the end of the round to allow the player time to reconnect.
  6. Players will not pause the match.

Map Exploits

  1. Players will not use map exploits during a match
  2. Teams found to be using a map exploit will automatically conceed the game further usage will result in the clan being disqualified from the tournament.
  3. Planting of the bomb in such an area as it makes no sound (ie, in walls) is banned. (aka Silent Planting).
  4. Use of the shield IS NOT allowed and its use will be penalised accordingly.
  5. The following was the examples of some exploits. Although we have not shown every known exploit, that does not mean that they are allowed, if in doubt, don't do it, or ask an admin before the match starts. Do not boost to invisible ledges, do not boost through roofs and do not exploit clips in the maps with grenades. If any of these expolits are used during a tournament match, the match will be forfeited by the team using the exploits. Your clan members are expected to know the rules.

Cheating and Penalties

  1. It is each clans own responsibility to ensure none of their players are cheating.
  2. Any player found cheating will be disqualified as well as the rest of their team.
  3. Results obtained by a disqualified team will be removed, and all previous matches will be deemed to be conceded.
  4. Cheats include (but are not limited to) wallhacks, aimbots, custom scripts of bunny hop, which cannot be accomplished through the standard CS menu.
  5. A clan is expected to play to the best of their abilities in every match. Should a clan / player disregard this this rule the player(s) will be excluded from future tournaments at the event. This includes but is not limited to: persistent team killing or team attacking, round throwing, any other act deemed to be unsportsmanly, including throwing matches in order to gain a more favourable match later in the tournament.
  6. Players and teams that break the rules will be penalised accordingly. This decision will be made in the first instance by the match admin and will (where possible) reflect the nature of the infringement. This may include, but is not limited to the forfeit of one or more rounds, forfeiting the match, forfeiting the tournament, and in extreme cases banning from future events and or a ban from Digital Battleground events.
  7. Repeat infringements will bring higher penalties.

The Tournament Structure

  1. Matches will be 1 min 45 sec round time. Sides will be decided by knives.
  2. Matches will be stopped after 1 team reaches 16 wins.
  3. Map will be given *On the Spot* for the Final matches.
  4. For the other rounds of the tournament maps will be allocated to each round. This may change between events, but this information will be available at least one week before the event where possible.

Players

  1. Each team should have 5 players.
  2. Substitutions during a match are not permitted.
  3. A player can only play and be registered for one team.
  4. Players must be available to play a match at anytime during the Digital Battleground event.
  5. All Players must be registered on the Digital Battleground's Official Website for the tournament.
  6. It is the players responsiblity to ensure they are in the team they are supposed to be in.
  7. Digital Battleground, ~<N[!]D>~ Staff and Admins are NOT ALLOWED to play in the tournament.
  8. All players in-game must TAG up and use their official player name. Any player not tagged up or a player with the wrong name on the server will be kicked. Players with abusive names on any of the game servers will be kicked.

General Rules and Information

  1. The decision of a Digital Battleground Admin is final.
  2. Abusive behaviour/language/attitudes in any form will not be tolerated, continued abuse will result in rejection from the tournament.
  3. Players in the tournament can have a NON Steam / Steam install of the game "CounterStrike 1.6.
  4. Digital Battleground cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to persons or personal possession .
  5. Digital Battleground Admins and staff will take the following roles within the tournament time.  Please make sure you address the correct person with any tournament related issues.
